ICONOGRAPHIC MOVIE POSTERS: Fantasy in the ’80s
A collection of black and white iconographic pictograph prints inspired by some timeless ’80s cult films. Such films as Little Monsters, Willow, The Karate Kid, and The Goonies were the films of legend during my childhood. I pay tribute to them now with these minimalist iconographic prints.
Part of a collection of black and white iconographic prints inspired by some timeless cult films. Little Monsters was a great film about adventure, discovery, and appreciation of one’s family. But, above all else, it was about the world of monsters which live under our beds.
The Evil Dead:
Check out this classic art print for the movie “The Evil Dead”. This grunge horror print would make a great piece of art for any home and is inspired by the campy horror flick, Evil Dead. Part of a new series of simple, graphic pop posters inspired by some of the greatest science fiction and horror movies of all time.
Little preview of a poster I am working on. Based on the movie Evil Dead; a movie I had never seen until last night… It is sticking in my brain space a lot longer than I expected…
Re-blogged from a fan. The Moon poster was inspired of course by the movie of the came name. The idea was to illustrate nature, bio-engineering science, and the isolation felt through the film. The rocket contrails also form the helix shape which ties back to the biological/technological relationship of the movie’s main characters.
