Classic Scifi Movie Posters
New from the Geekerie, two classics from beyond by youth, re-imagined in my unique style of design.
Silent Running is a classic science fiction movie from the ’70s, chronicling the voyage of the final forest in a floating space station. Set up as a cautionary tale for a future where global pollution has run amok, the movie was an inspired piece of speculative fiction and thus is presented in a similar stark manor through this poster. This 11x17 prints has fine detailed textures as well as intense asymmetry and dynamic movement throughout.
When World Collide is a classic science fiction movie from the ’50s chronicling the final days of humanity as a star hurtled towards Earth and the hope for survival rests on an accompanying planetoid. I took my inspiration from classic scifi infographic and chalkboard schematic drawings. This 11x17 prints has fine detailed textures as well as intense asymmetry and dynamic movement through the planetary tracks, the space ark route and magnetic field lines.
